The Friends of the Tippecanoe County Public Library would like to invite you to our March book sale at the downtown library branch. We will have many Easy, Junior Early Reader, MIDDLE, and young adult (YA) fiction and nonfiction books displayed in the main lobby of the library. We have quite a few YA audio books in stock, too. Also, in the main lobby, we will have Practically Perfect books and Spring Holiday books for ‘children’ of all ages. These include books for Easter, Mother’s Day and graduation. Tables in the north lobby will showcase many types of adult fiction books (Science Fiction, Mystery/Thriller, Romance, Christian Fiction etc.), and the tables will extend to the reference desk and will include Nearly New and Large Print novels. The large meeting room to the east of the south entrance will contain Children’s Education (K-12 education materials by subject matter), Education (variety of selections – STEM, NGSS, working with students, setting up learning scenarios), Reference, and Text Books. In addition, we will have ‘OLD’ Children’s Books, Published between 1920 and 1970, located on tables along the south wall. The McAllister meeting room also contains cookbooks, crafts, gardening, biography, history, art, music, and other nonfiction books on various subjects.
The March Book Sale begins Friday, March 6th. It is open Friday evening from 7:30 to 9:30pm for Friends members only. You may purchase a yearly, individual or family, membership for $10.00 on the evening of the sale. Saturday, March 7th, the book sale will run from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Sunday, March 8th, the book sale will run from 1:00 to 5:00pm and all books will be half-price. Monday, March 9th, is Bag Day. The sale will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm and a bag of books will cost $3.00.
