Tennis is Easy, Fun and for a Lifetime!
The Greater Lafayette Tennis Association, Inc. (GLTA) in cooperation with the Lafayette Department of Parks and Recreation conducts a program for tennis skills and play. PTR teaching-pro Gerry Harrison along with other tennis teachers will work on tennis skills, and supervised tennis play.
Dates, Times, Ages & Skill Levels:
Armstrong Park: (South 9th & Beck Lane)
Saturday: 1. 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. Pee Wee (ages 4-6, beginners)
Saturday: 2. 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. Ages 7 & up & Jr. High Team
Sunday: 3. 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. Pee Wee (ages 4-6, beginners)
Sunday: 4. 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. Ages 7 & up and Jr. High Team
Make-ups or extra sessions may be on alternate dates and sites, including the WLGCC Courts, West Lafayette on Monday and Wednesday evenings. It is wise to add extra sessions in good weather. If necessary, make-ups will be Fridays at 7:00 p.m. at Armstrong Park. Sessions listed above with limited registration may be cancelled.
Generally, sessions will be cancelled due to rain or if the wind chill is below 40 degrees.

How much? For 9 weeks, just one payment! $70 for two sessions a week; $55 one session a week
Those who travel from home more than 10 miles, one way, to participate may
subtract 20% from the appropriate fee. Registrants who cannot participant for 10 weeks may pro-rate the cost.
Coed middle grades-Junior High Travel Team (up to four workouts a week from the offerings above, matches and tournaments) ($40 if participating on the travel team but not currently in a GLTA program).
Families with more than one registrant may subtract 10% of the fee for each additional registrant. Sessions with fewer than five registrants may be cancelled. Partial scholarships are available for children of parent(s) and adults, who may be unemployed or with very small income (less than $2,000/month)—adult registrants included.
Equipment: Participants must wear tennis or athletic shoes, dress for the temperature, racket suitable for his or her size. Loaner rackets are available.
