Well there is nothing like coming back Wednesday, Oct. 31 from Fall Break to! Pre-school and kindergarten students will be bringing in costumes….for the rest of us, Halloween accessories may be worn with their uniforms. So OK to wear those orange and black socks!
This week we will also be having Purdue Chemistry students come into the classrooms to do some great activities. We are so lucky to have Purdue in our backyard!
Thursday, November 1 – All Saints Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. There is an ASM.
Friday, November 2 – All Souls Day is also an ASM.
Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, November 4th at 2 a.m.; so before you go to bed Saturday night, you’ll want to turn your clocks back an hour. Don’t want to see you at school at 6:30 a.m.!
The system is meant to reduce electricity usage by extending daylight hours….but really…..
It does mean you’ll get an extra hour of sleep. Then, the earliest sunsets of the year will happen in early December where the sun will set just before 5 p.m.
This weekend is also a good time to change the batteries on your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.
