Thank you for your feedback on the early dismissals. The majority of families were supportive of the early dismissal on Mondays to accommodate continuous improvement through staff and teacher professional development and collaboration. Most of the concern related to work schedules and open questions about after school care on Mondays. The principals of each school reviewed the feedback and feel the early dismissal is essential to ensuring that the Lafayette Catholic School System continues to grow and improve. The below FAQ is designed to address some of the most common questions and concerns. If you still feel your concern was not adequately addressed, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
And thank you again. With ongoing changes in education, as teachers and staff, we look forward to being able to meet on a continual basis to learn ways to effectively and positively help our students! Focusing on our goals for the school year, there are many exciting research-based strategies that we would like to gain more knowledge on. With implementing these strategies in our school/classrooms, being able to meet weekly for an hour will enable us to analyze, apply, evaluate, ask questions, and gain a better understanding on what we are striving to do. This, in turn, will help us be more productive and able to see the results we are looking for sooner. Plus we like each other and being able to all sit down together once a week will be a JOY!
